THE WHO: I AM Academy’s theme this year is “I AM Fearless,” which focuses on helping our students see and achieve their goals! “I AM Fearless” challenges us to move despite fear, breaks down barriers, and creates a space for youth voices to be heard. It’s the type of motivation that sees potential in every young person, celebrates identity, and stands firm in justice and truth.

THE WHAT: Experience the vibrancy of West Michigan, the flavors of delicious food, and the joy of community as we commemorate Juneteenth together! Let’s honor history, celebrate resilience, and embrace the spirit of Juneteenth!

THE WHY: In essence, our name, I AM Academy, is a placeholder for a powerful yearly mantra, “I AM…”. This year’s theme, “I AM the Fearless,” promotes self-confidence, goal-setting, resilience, and the belief that everyone deserves to create the life they desire.
All funds raised will help us continue providing representation, mentorship, and opportunities for our Black and multiracial youth in the West Michigan area.
